Dear School Heads and Fellow Jujitsuka:

This letter is to officially notify you and your students that Camp Kodenkan north 1999 is officially canceled. We are sorry for any and all inconvenience this has caused. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. There will be a reunion for those who wish to attend at Prof. Tom and Jan Ball's home from July 7 - July 13. Black Belt and Adult Kyu Camps

You are invited...

Come join a twenty-three year tradition for jujitsuka at Camp Kodenkan North. Experience your martial art 24 hours a day through great jujitsu workouts of all kinds, up close and personal time with the best instructors in the AJJF.

We will focus on the advanced arts and the healing aspect of the system.

We will train all aspects of the system especially those arts in the Shoden or beginning level. Special training in styles and skills that complement DZR jujitsu.

Black Belt Exams

Black belt examinations will be held on Saturday July 10th. Contact Manager of Examinations Loretta Silvagni for exam registration.

Adult Fees

$495.00 - 9 days of meals, lodging & instruction
$455.00 - 7 days of meals, lodging & instruction
$260.00 - 4 days of meals, lodging & instruction
$210.00 - 3 days of meals, lodging & instruction
 $70.00 - 1 day of meals, lodging & instruction
 $40.00 - 1/2 day of meals & instruction
          (i.e. 7:30am-3:00pm or after 3:00pm are 1/2 days)
 $45.00 - per day for nonparticipating guests
 $11.00 - Tee shirt
 $20.00 - late fee for any registration received after June 10th.
Overnight before or after classes must be included. Often this is a 1/2 day. For example, arriving Friday night after dinner and leaving Monday morning is 2 1/2 days.

All participants must be current AJJF members -- no exceptions. [AJJF membership forms will be available at camp.] In fairness to all, the late fee will be charged if you did not pre-register by June 10th -- no exceptions.

Late Fees/Refunds

Late registration or payments will be assessed a $20.00 fee. All fees are refundable until June 10, 1999.

Please mark everything with your name!

Gi, old clothes suitable for ranch life, hiking boots, sleeping bag, swimsuit & beach towel, bath towel & wash cloth, toilet articles, laundry bag, toilet articles, notebook, sunscreen, hat, chapstick, flashlight, musical instruments, and fishing gear. Also martial art books, articles or videos are always welcome.

NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS PLEASE!

Black Belts - bring mouth protectors, gloves and other protective gear suitable for boxing and sparring. Also bring weapons for class.

Directions

Follow I-5 to Etna/Fort Jones turnoff (state highway 3) south of Yreka; proceed 16 miles west to the town of Fort Jones; continue through Fort Jones to Scott River Road; turn right and continue 7 miles to Quartz Valley road intersection; turn left, cross bridge over Scott River; make left turn at the first mailboxes and drive 1.5 miles on dirt road to ranch. Please do not drive over 20 mph on the dirt road.

Travel time to reach SIS-Q Ranch from San Francisco is about 6.5 hours; Sacramento, about 5 hours; Eureka, about 4 hours and 2 hours from Redding. If necessary, you can be picked up at the bus lines in Yreka, the Scott Valley Airport (private landing strip) or the Medford, Oregon airport (the nearest commercial airport).

If you can get a registration form from your AJJF dojo, please bring it and your fees (plus $20 late fee) to camp. If you cannot get a registration form, you are welcome to come to camp and complete registration on-site.
