School Head Application for Travel Funds to National Convention

The AJJF Schools of Division 1 donate the money for the Fund. Division 1 has the most AJJF members and many members are relatively close, geographically, to many AJJF Professors. For this reason, the Division sometimes does not use all the funds available for the year. (Division money is primarily used to transport Professors and Senior Instructors to Division 1 Regional events.) Occasionally, at the end of the fiscal year, there are unused funds in the Division 1 account, so the school heads voted to donate one half of the remainder, each year, to this new fund that will assist school heads from any region travel to the AJJF National Convention.

The Fund will be administered and reviewed by a committee consisting of the National Manager of Divisions (Chair), Managers of Divisions 1, 2, & 3 and the AJJF National Treasurer.

Eligible applicants will submit their application to the National Manager of Divisions. The Committee will review the applications from previous years to make sure that the fund is shared throughout the Regions.

Funds are available until they are spent. Any unused funds would remain in the Travel Fund for the next year. If more applicants apply than can be offered assistance, the Committee will select applicants by the date the applications are received. The Committee will set a maximum amount of aid per applicant, based on the number who apply.

The fund will be monitored and reviewed annually by the committee to keep track of who is granted the aid, and to rotate the use of the funds, as needed, throughout the Regions.

The applications will be due at least six weeks before the National Convention date.

If you are selected to receive the Travel Funds, all reservations must be made through the AJJF Travel Committee Chair.
