AJJF Jujitsu Demonstration
Team Rules
RULES
1) A team
must consist of not less than four
and no more than twenty competitors.
2) A team
may be comprised of any Jujitsu practitioners from an AJJF registered Dojo.
3) Teams
members may be comprised from deferent Dojo’s although they must
collectively declare who they are representing.
4) All
team members must hold a current A.J.J.F. membership.
5) Teams
must stay within the
designated demonstration
area. Failure to do so will result
in a five point deduction for each penalty. The demonstration area should be described in the tournament
announcement.
6) Teams
must be registered twenty minutes prier to the beginning of the competition.
7) Teams
will have a five minute time limit with a two point deduction for every fifteen
seconds over or under the allowed time limit. The competition will be stopped at one minute over the allowed
time limit.
8) All
deductions due to time penalties will be deducted from the total score of each
judge at the end of the performance.
9) There
will be a designated time keeper that will inform all judges of any time
related deductions.
10) Any person wishing to
use the demonstration competition as a rank requirement for exam must designate
it on the registration form.
11) Any
person using the Demonstration
competition for a rank requirement must have a major role in the demonstration.
12) Judging shall be done by three judges one of whom will be identified as
head judge and will be in control of the competition. The head judge may appoint a fourth judge from the crowd
that may or may not have martial arts training.
13) The
head judge may also stop the competition at any time if they fill there is a
safety issue that may result in an injury.
14) All judges shall be briefed on the Demonstration competition rules and
scoring, prier to the competition.
15) Each judge is to receive there own score sheet and sign there name to
the score sheet.
16) After a teams competition is complete all three score sheets shall be
given to a tabulator to be totaled with an adding machine or calculator. All three sheets shall be given to a

17) After the score sheets have been tabulated and recorded they will be
given to the teams school head or representative.
(Tenths of points are encouraged in scoring to avoid the possibility of a tie.)
